M-Form (Migration Form) in the Netherlands
Filing the M-Form is essential for expats as it helps prevent double taxation. By accurately reporting your income and providing relevant documentation, you can determine the appropriate tax liability in both the Netherlands and your home country. Moreover, the M-Form allows you to claim any applicable tax benefits, deductions, or allowances based on your specific circumstances. Even if you haven't received an invitation to file a tax return, it's worth considering submitting the M-Form as it may help correct any potential overpayment of Dutch taxes, thanks to the progressive tax system.
M-Form Deadline (Migration Form)
Normally, the Dutch Tax Authorities send out invitations to file a Migration Form, indicating the deadline, which is typically July 1st of the year following your move to the Netherlands. If you require additional time, you can request an extension for submitting your M-Form. Our team is here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
